Day 3 of National Game Writing Month! These
game concepts are silly one-offs that will never be considered for
production. If you’re inspired by one, feel free to use it, but it would
be nice if you told me!
This is not my original concept. It was proposed to me by a friend, but he gave me permission to use it. He is a really great guy.
Don’t have an actual title for it, just this: it is a mix of Brick Break and Tetris.
Designed to be played on two screens (something to justify your purchase of a Wii U) one player drops the tetrads while the other on the second screen plays a game of Brick Break attempting to clear the board. The goal is to make it so that the other player can no longer successfully play their game.
For the player playing Brick Break power ups will drop randomly from broken tetrads like in the original. For the person dropping the tetrads, power ups will be released on a time system. The longer your game goes the more powerful the power up.
The game ends when one player is no longer able to play their portion of the game. You then take satisfaction knowing you wasted your friendship for victory. Always worth it.
(By the way, when I said my friend was a pretty great guy I meant it. Go check him out: http://acejr28.tumblr.com/)
Want to do your own NaGaWriMo? Write a good one and include the hash-tag!
